Sorcerer Kingdom's Covert Invasion

魔導国による王国侵攻(情報封鎖下の進軍)

World & HistoryBattles & Events

Vol. 14, sometime in Years 3–5 after the transfer: the Sorcerer Kingdom formally opened hostilities a month after declaring war and, following Cocytus's strategy, advanced counterclockwise from the southeast to cut the Kingdom off from the Council State, using Marquis Raeven to block information, so that for a long time the Kingdom did not realize it had been invaded.

  • It began with Philip's attack on the Sorcerer Kingdom's food convoy; Albedo declared war in the capital and set hostilities for noon a month later
  • The Sorcerer Kingdom adopted Cocytus's strategy, advancing counterclockwise from the southeast to secure the region between the Kingdom and the Argland Council State
  • Marquis Raeven betrayed the Kingdom after his child was used as leverage (presumably starting months before the war), and once hostilities began, he helped the Sorcerer Kingdom block information
  • For two weeks to a month after the war began, the Guardians used the Kingdom's cities for siege experiments; the Kingdom never realized that the Sorcerer Kingdom was advancing, and Ramposa III judged the declaration a mere threat and prepared to negotiate
  • Pestonya and Nigredo petitioned Ainz to halt the operation, and Ainz agreed to deliberately let some escape; the Platinum Dragon Lord detected the invasion and told Azuth
  • Only when news came from E-Naeurl did the capital learn that the Sorcerer Kingdom had invaded, and Zanac promptly confined the King; at the same time, the Sorcerer Kingdom switched to striking west from E-Rantel straight at the capital
  • Specific tactics included a city-taking operation planned by Shalltear, in which frost dragons flying 500 m up dropped Soul Eaters to massacre cities, and carpet bombing of cities with [Fireball] by three hundred Elder Liches

Notes

After the Kingdom's fall, Raeven was temporarily put in charge of administering his own domain, E-Raevel; since the Sorcerer Kingdom has no peerage, Ainz simply calls him "Raeven."
