Vol. 3, night of day 10 of Year 1 after the transfer: while scouting the hideout of the mercenary band "Death Spreading Brigade," the team of iron-rank adventurer Brita ran into Shalltear, who had just massacred the band, and was nearly wiped out.
- Brita is a red-haired female warrior and an iron-rank adventurer based in E-Rantel; her team encountered the vampire while scouting a bandit nest
- After wiping out the bandits and the Death Spreading Brigade's hideout, Shalltear fell into a "blood frenzy" and let both the fleeing Brain and one of the adventurers, a ranger, escape
- Brita threw the red potion Momon had given her at Shalltear; the potion made Shalltear realize Brita was connected to Ainz, so she spared her (unverified)
- The ranger who escaped returned to E-Rantel to report, and the Adventurer's Guild planned to send a team to investigate the mysterious vampire, but it was swamped when the cemetery incident broke out
- While pursuing the escapees, Shalltear ran into the Black Scripture, which led to the "Black Scripture Skirmish"
- After her team was nearly wiped out, Brita quit adventuring and moved to Carne Village, where she studied under Latimon, the village's ranger; she is now active as a ranger and also leads the village's self-defense corps
