ヴィクティム
Guardian of the 8th FloorGreat Tomb of NazarickHeteromorphic · AngelTotal Lv35
Personality
Polite, humble, and gentle, he knows full well that he was created to die and takes pride in being useful through his death. Everything he says is made up of traditional Japanese color names (the so-called "color language"), and he can communicate only thanks to the other world's translation function; even Ainz vaguely feels that "this doesn't seem to be Enochian."
Abilities
- Apart from the golem Gargantua, the only Floor Guardian below level 100 (level 35)
- His own combat power is weak, but when he dies he triggers a powerful foot-stopping (binding) skill that hinders enemies' movement
- NPCs can be revived with gold coins after death, which makes him well suited to be a sacrificial trump card
- According to setting materials, his skill is linked to activating "those things" on the 8th Floor; it presumably played a role when the 1,500-strong raid party invaded long ago
History
- A pink, fetus-shaped angel about one meter long with a halo over his head, stationed in the 8th Floor's "Tree of Life (Sephiroth)"; soon after the transfer he was assigned to watch "those things" on the 8th Floor (Vol. 1)
- Demiurge introduced him to the other Guardians on the way to the Throne Room; when Ainz apologized that he might have to be sacrificed, he said he was glad to die for the Supreme Being (Vol. 4)
- When Ainz led the Guardians to the great lake, he was ordered to temporarily guard the 1st Floor (Vol. 4)
- Attended the interrogation of Sebas as a witness and, after Ainz judged Sebas's loyalty genuine, said he had no objection (Vol. 6)
Trivia
Every one of his color-name lines carries kana glosses, which makes the Japanese original extremely hard to read; the character does not exist at all in the Web novel.
Relationships
- Ainz Ooal Gown: His supreme master; Ainz accepts that he may have to kill him if necessary, yet feels guilty about it
- Demiurge: Formally introduced him to the other Guardians in Vol. 4, and also proposed moving him to an upper floor in an emergencyunverified
