Summoned monsters believed to come from other worlds; the Slane Theocracy believes they serve the gods, while most other nations treat them as ordinary summons.
- They are slightly stronger than monsters summoned by spells of the same tier and have various special abilities and spells.
- They have heavy damage reduction against non-magical attacks (weapons not made of specific materials) and match up well against evil beings.
- The Kingdom's priests assert that angels are merely a type of summoned monster.
- The lowest race is "Angel," reached in YGGDRASIL with a "Wing of Ascension"; Victim has races including Angel and Archangel.
- Summoned angels from low to high include Angel Guardian, Archangel Flame, Principality, Dominion, Cherub, Seraph, and others.
- Like demons, they cannot use false names.
- Summoned angel examples: the Angel Guardian summoned at 2nd tier, and the Principality of Peace summoned at 4th tier (it can use low-tier divine magic, mass calming, and more) (Vol. 12 p. 77); the Cherubim Gatekeeper, in the level 80s, has a lion's face and four wings and is an excellent tank skilled at detection (Vol. 10 p. 85)
- Archangel Flame's katakana reading is "Archangel," though its kanji name does not mean "archangel"; Victim's racial levels are Angel 10 and Archangel (end of Vol. 6)
Notes
The Sunlight Scripture relied on summoned angels as its main force; Ainz defeated it outside Carne Village in Vol. 1.
