Pandora's Actor
パンドラズ・アクター
Area Guardian of the Treasury, head of Nazarick's financesGreat Tomb of NazarickHeteromorphic · Doppelgänger (Greater Doppelgänger)Total Lv100
Personality
The NPC Ainz personally created during his chuunibyou phase: a featureless egg-headed figure in a military uniform who speaks German and moves with exaggerated gestures, to Ainz's great embarrassment. Flamboyant on the surface, he is actually calm, pragmatic, and observant, with an intellect rivaling Albedo's and Demiurge's, and he will also question orders and make suggestions (unverified).
Abilities
- Can copy 45 appearances, including those of the Forty-One Supreme Beings, and use their skills at about 80% of their power (monster summoning is not weakened); his own base abilities are very weak
- Transforms into Ainz or Momon to act as a body double; even as Ainz, he can use "Create Middle Tier Undead" to turn corpses into Death Knights
- Manages the Treasury's items and data crystals and excels at item appraisal; by Vol. 14 he can read the languages of several countries
- Transforms into Nearata to use merchant skills that raise the exchange box's valuations (it is nicknamed "the shredder"), converting items into gold coins
History
- Created personally by Momonga; guards the Treasury alone. When Ainz came for a World Item, he first appeared in Tabula's form, Albedo saw through him, and he received a Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown (Vol. 3)
- Ordered out of the Treasury, he transformed into Nearata to convert items into gold coins with the exchange box (Vol. 4 onward); appointed lieutenant of Albedo's Secret Unit (Vol. 7)
- Took over from Ainz in playing the hero Momon, serving as the Sorcerer King's "watchman" to reassure the citizens of E-Rantel (Vols. 9–10)
- In the war that destroyed the Kingdom, he disguised himself as Ainz to act as bait and fought Riku Aganeia (the Platinum Dragon Lord's armor) to gather information, until Albedo rescued him (Vol. 14)
- Ainz wanted him to appraise the spoils from the Elf King's treasury (unverified) and sent him to recover the items on the Elf King's body (Vol. 16)
Trivia
Momonga originally wanted to name him "Surprise Box" (びっくりボックス); it was Ulbert and his friends who changed it to "Pandora's Actor" (from a 2022 program celebrating the original work's 10th anniversary).
Relationships
- Ainz Ooal Gown: His creator and "father"; he wants to "surpass his father's imagination"
- Albedo: Leader of Albedo's Secret Unit; she rescued him in Vol. 14 but was displeased that he knelt while in Ainz's formunverified
- Tabula Smaragdina: He first appeared in Tabula's form, and Albedo saw through him instantly
- CZ2128 Delta: Murmured "ugh" at the sight of his self-indulgent poses
- Nearata: He borrows Nearata's merchant skills to earn gold coins for Nazarick
- Tsaindorcus Vaision: An opponent he fought in Vol. 14 and could not communicate with; Pandora estimated it to be a tank of around level 90
