Doppelgänger
二重の影（ドッペルゲンガー）
Races & CreaturesMajor Races
A Heteromorphic race that can copy and transform into others' appearances; the race of Narberal and Pandora's Actor.
- True form: a pink (or yellow) head as smooth as an egg, with only three black holes for a face, and four fingers, each with an extra joint.
- They can copy an appearance down to clothing and gear; each racial level grants one transformable appearance.
- In the setting, they can read the surface thoughts of the person they are talking to while transformed, to help their acting, and after the transfer this actually works; it counts as a mental attack, can be resisted, and cannot reach memories.
- Monster doppelgängers can copy abilities up to about level 40 and are weak before they transform; they cannot use items of Legacy class or higher.
- Greater Doppelgänger: it can transform into beings up to level 60, copying 90% of their abilities and disguising its HP; Pandora is Doppelgänger 15 + Greater Doppelgänger 10 and can transform into the Forty-One Supreme Beings.
- Racial levels on record: Narberal is Doppelgänger 1; Pandora's Actor is Doppelgänger 15 + Greater Doppelgänger 10
- An example of Nazarick's doppelgängers: the "Caspond" planted in the Holy Kingdom arc was a doppelgänger (Vols. 12–13)
