Nazarick's highest-ranking NPCs, each guarding a floor; all except Gargantua and Victim are level 100. Overseer Albedo and butler Sebas hold equal standing.

Members: Shalltear (floors 1–3), Gargantua (4th), Cocytus (5th), Aura and Mare (6th), Demiurge (7th), and Victim (8th); Albedo is the Overseer and Sebas the head butler, and neither is a Floor Guardian
They command the servants on their floors and hold the power of life and death over anyone not directly created by the Forty-One Supreme Beings
In the game, base-defense NPCs could not leave the base, but after the transfer they can go out freely; since Shalltear was brainwashed, they must take at least 5 servants of level 75 or higher on any outing
As protection against World Items, each Guardian was allowed to hold one (Sebas apparently has none)
Strength ranking (according to the author): Shalltear 1st (overall), Mare 2nd (wide-area annihilation), Albedo, Cocytus, and Sebas tied for 3rd (each counters another, like rock-paper-scissors), Aura and Demiurge tied for 6th, and Victim 8th; Gargantua is excluded, though in raw strength it surpasses Shalltear
The Deep Darkness Dragon Lord is said to have the edge one-on-one against every Floor Guardian except Shalltear, its natural enemy
