Battle of E-Naeurl

エ・ナイウル攻略戦

World & HistoryBattles & Events

Vol. 14, sometime in Years 3–5 after the transfer: about a month into the war, the Sorcerer Kingdom attacked E-Naeurl, the Kingdom's northernmost port city; Azuth of the Red Drop arrived and destroyed a Death Knight and Death Warriors, and the Sorcerer Kingdom abandoned the siege and struck at the capital instead.

E-Naeurl is a large port city facing the Linde Sea in Count Naeura's domain; its highest-ranking adventurers, the mithril-rank team "Four Armaments," commanded the city's defense
Pestonya and Nigredo petitioned Ainz to halt the slaughter, and Ainz agreed to deliberately let some escape; about a month into the war, the Sorcerer Kingdom attacked nearby towns, deliberately letting some residents flee to E-Naeurl
Undead appeared in a neighboring barony and killed all its people; the baron and others fled into the city, and the Count ordered the whole domain to evacuate; about five days later, the watchtower spotted a zombie army approaching, and when the siege began about three days after that, the army was confirmed to be twenty times the size of the garrison
In the siege, Four Armaments fought a shield-bearing Death Knight; though they worked well together, they were outmatched
Learning from the Platinum Dragon Lord that the Sorcerer Kingdom was secretly invading, Azuth Aindra donned his powered suit, rushed to the city, and destroyed the Death Knight and Death Warriors; fewer than 50 magic casters took part in all
After the battle, the Sorcerer Kingdom changed plans and moved on the capital; the capital first learned of the invasion through E-Naeurl, and Zanac promptly confined King Ramposa III
Ainz sensed the Death Knight's destruction; the Guardians saw this as a way to lure out the Red Drop (unverified)
