Theocracy - Elf War

法国とエルフの王国の戦争(終盤)

World & HistoryBattles & Events

Vols. 15–16, sometime in Years 3–5 after the transfer: the Slane Theocracy, long at war with the Elf Country, committed the Holocaust Scripture and launched an all-out assault that took the elven capital; Elf King Decem was killed by the Extra Seat, but the Sorcerer Kingdom, which had secretly intervened, seized the spoils.

  • For the war's origins (the Elf King abducted and violated the Theocracy's trump-card woman, which led to the birth of the Extra Seat), see the history timeline entry "The Elf King's Crime and the Theocracy–Elf War"; the Elf Country once cooperated with the Theocracy, then betrayed it, and the two have been at war for a long time
  • The Elf Country is inferior to the Theocracy in nearly every respect and holds the line only through its skill at guerrilla warfare and because the Theocracy has slowed its advance out of wariness of the monsters of the Great Forest of Evasha
  • Once the Theocracy committed the Holocaust Scripture, specialists in guerrilla warfare, it advanced rapidly and established a forward base near the capital; it had originally planned to destroy the Elf Country within a few years
  • Decem sent his daughter Rugi to the front; Rugi, who single-handedly killed nearly 1,000 Theocracy soldiers, was killed by Holocaust Scripture vice-captain Schoen, and Decem appeared and killed Schoen with "Behemot" (a Primal Earth Elemental)
  • When Theocracy reinforcements arrived, an all-out assault broke through to the elven capital; meanwhile, Ainz slipped into the royal castle with Aura and Mare and fought Decem on the floor below the treasury
  • The fleeing Decem was killed twice by the Extra Seat, Antilene, who was then captured by Mare, and the Sorcerer Kingdom also seized the contents of the treasury
  • From Antilene's memories Ainz learned that Shalltear's brainwashing was the Theocracy's doing, and resolved to destroy the Slane Theocracy

Notes

The Elf King wanted to take back his child, the Extra Seat, and if she was a daughter, to have her bear his children (from Vol. 11).
