World & HistoryBattles & Events

An original event story in the mobile game MASS FOR THE DEAD (first run September 25, 2019; rerun October 2020 and February 2023), not part of the novels: Momonga held a defense drill in a mock Nazarick, personally playing the invader. (mobile game)

(mobile game) As Nazarick's revitalization proceeded, Momonga worried whether they could cope if a new "Rift" suddenly appeared, so he gathered the Guardians and announced a defense exercise simulating a Rift's appearance
(mobile game) The venue was a mock Nazarick; six Guardians defended while Momonga led an undead force as the invaders; the outcome was judged by the YGGDRASIL gold coins given to the Guardians and the coins inside a "Momonga-sama doll" placed on the throne
(mobile game) The Guardians defended the floors in pairs: Shalltear and Cocytus the upper floors, Aura and Mare the 6th Floor, Albedo and Demiurge the 10th Floor
(mobile game) Momonga first sent masses of undead from the surface and jammed [Message] communications; Albedo and Demiurge abandoned the 10th Floor and took the doll to reinforce the 6th
(mobile game) The apparently cornered Albedo and Demiurge were actually decoys, doppelgängers borrowed from Momonga; the real pair led their subordinates in a surprise attack from behind, turned the battle around, and defeated the commander on the scene, an Elder Lich
(mobile game) Finally Momonga took the field himself and defeated all six Guardians, but Albedo, who had been keeping the real doll separately, held out to the end, and when time ran out, the defenders won
(mobile game) A few days later Demiurge drafted a new defense system based on the exercise; the truth of the Rifts remained a subject for future investigation
