Eight Fingers Suppression Campaign

八本指拠点襲撃作戦

World & HistoryBattles & Events

Vols. 5–6, September 2–4 of Year 1 after the transfer: Third Princess Renner planned simultaneous raids on the Eight Fingers' bases with Zanac, Marquis Raeven, and the Blue Roses, but the operation was cut short when Nazarick launched "Gehenna" that very night.

The Eight Fingers are a criminal organization of eight divisions in the Kingdom's underworld; the narcotics division profits from "black powder" and has infiltrated the nobility and the Empire
Late on September 2, the Blue Roses raided villages growing narcotics; on the morning of September 3, Renner received a report that three narcotics villages had been burned
On September 4, Renner met with Zanac and Marquis Raeven and added newly discovered narcotics division bases to the targets
At 21:00 the same day, Climb's squad (32 people) set out; the participants also included Brain and Lockmeier, a former orichalcum-rank adventurer serving Marquis Raeven, while the Blue Roses members raided targets separately
From 22:13, Climb and the others fought Zero and Succulent of the Six Arms; meanwhile, Nazarick was also attacking the Eight Fingers (Mare and Entoma raided Hilma's mansion, and Sebas took on the Six Arms)
That night Jaldabaoth appeared and killed Gagaran and Tia; the operation turned into a fight against the "Gehenna" demons, and the planned sweep was called off
In the end, the Eight Fingers were not wiped out by the Kingdom; instead, Nazarick abducted their leaders, "baptized" them, and made them its puppets

Notes

The "Gehenna" entry in Japanese sources lists this raid as "Phase 1: attacking the Eight Fingers' bases"; the Kingdom's raids and Nazarick's operations unfolded side by side on the same night.
