World & HistoryBattles & Events

An original event story in the mobile game MASS FOR THE DEAD (MftD; first run April 26–May 6, 2019, rerun February 2023, unverified): Demiurge turned a mine into a "demon's lair"-style dungeon to drive off the Blue Roses, who came to investigate.

(MftD) Nazarick needed outside currency to rebuild and grow stronger; Momonga chose to earn it through trade rather than plunder, deciding to sell ore from an abandoned mine
(MftD) The Kingdom was suffering from a shortage of arms and soaring ore prices; E-Rantel's guildmaster Ainzach gathered high-ranking adventurers to reopen the mine, and the Blue Roses accepted the royal commission
(MftD) Demiurge's aim was not to kill the Blue Roses but to make the Kingdom's premier adventurer team retreat, so that everyone would believe the mine was extremely dangerous; Momonga approved the plan and created an undead force for him
(MftD) Entoma commanded the mine's insects in battle, Mare reshaped the tunnels into a maze of branches and caused small cave-ins, and an Abyss Demon laid out blood writing, summoning circles, and the like to fake a "demon summoning gone out of control"
(MftD) Evileye's [Vermin Bane] was dangerous to Entoma, so she withdrew and left the rest to the Abyss Demon; in the deepest chamber, Lakyus unleashed the cursed sword Kilineiram and felled the Abyss Demon with "Dark Blade Mega Impact"
(MftD) The Abyss Demon's corpse spewed poison mist, and the group withdrew from the mine, judging that it would be hard to reopen; behind the scenes, the Abyss Demon was healed remotely and survived, and the poison mist was a backup measure Demiurge had prepared
(MftD) Weeks later, Lupusregina posed as a foreign merchant woman running "Wolf Mark Ore Shop" to sell the ore; Nazarick gained a source of outside currency, and the Kingdom a source of ore
