Brita
ブリタ
Former iron-rank adventurer, leader of the Carne Village Vigilance CommitteeRe-Estize KingdomHumanUnknown
Personality
A tanned female warrior with a red bird's nest of hair, more "warrior" than woman. Frugal and sensible, she saves up for potions to protect herself and is earnest by nature. She also has the nerve to demand compensation from Momon and to swing her sword at a vampire.
Abilities
- Can use both sword and bow; equipped with an iron sword, banded armor, and a bow
- After moving to Carne Village she trains under Latimon, the village's resident ranger
- Not as strong as the goblin Jugem, but among the top fighters in Carne Village
History
- At the inn, a man Momon threw smashed the potion she had scrimped to buy; she got a red potion as compensation and took it to Lizzie to appraise, which led the Bareare family to contact Momon (Vol. 2)
- While scouting a bandit hideout she encountered Shalltear and her team was nearly wiped out, but when she threw the red potion Momon had given her, Shalltear stopped attacking on seeing it and spared her life (Vol. 3; the potion dealt Shalltear slight damage, and Shalltear immediately took control of her with her charming evil eye to question her about the potion's origin)
- After this terrifying experience (reportedly she couldn't sleep without medicine), she retired from adventuring and moved to Carne Village to serve as leader of the Vigilance Committee (Vol. 8; the novel says only that she retired "after various things happened" and gives no exact reason)
- Was in the village when the First Prince's army attacked Carne Village (Vol. 9)
Trivia
In the Web novel she was called "Baniara," a name that sounds like a sweet, and became an adventurer after monsters destroyed her village.
