Clementine
クレマンティーヌ
Former 9th Seat of the Black Scripture, "Windstride"; one of the Twelve Executives of the secret society ZurrernornSlane TheocracyHumanUnknown
Personality
A sadist who delights in torturing the weak to death; she claims she was simply born a monster and that it has nothing to do with her upbringing. She likes to mock others in a drawling tone, but this is mostly an act, and when she loses her composure she reverts to her natural way of speaking. She is no fool, analyzes a fight well, and never begged for her life, even at the end.
Abilities
- In the author's "strength order" (as of Vol. 6), her Black Scripture self was the strongest warrior to have appeared so far. After defecting she is weaker than a fully equipped Gazef, but still stronger than Hamsuke, Gazef (not fully equipped), and Brain, having reached the Realm of Heroes
- A light warrior who specializes in thrusting; her main weapons are about four mithril stilettos plated with orichalcum. Spells can be stored in them in advance and released once on a hit (known ones: [Charm Person], [Lightning], and [Fireball])
- Her martial arts include [Invulnerable Fortress], [Flow Acceleration], [Pace of the Wind], [Greater Evasion], [Ability Boost], and [Greater Ability Boost]
- Her armor is studded with the plates of adventurers she has killed (one of every rank except adamantite), and her sidearm is a morning star she is not good with
History
- A native of the Slane Theocracy, she was once the 9th Seat of the Black Scripture (her epithet is presumed to be "Windstride," Vol. 10). Her elder brother is presumed to be the 5th Seat, Quaiesse (regarded as settled among readers, though the original never states it). She later defected and stole the sacred treasure "Crown of Wisdom" (Vol. 2)
- Joined the secret society Zurrernorn and conspired with the High Disciple Khajiit to perform the "Death Spiral" ritual in E-Rantel (Vol. 2)
- Kidnapped Nfirea, put the Crown of Wisdom on him, and slaughtered the adventurer team "Swords of Darkness" (Vol. 2)
- Dueled Momon in the cemetery. Her fatal strike had no effect, and after learning that he was really Ainz she was crushed to death in his arms, never begging for her life (Vol. 2)
- Her body was handed over to the Adventurer's Guild and placed in a morgue protected against teleportation, but by the next morning it had mysteriously vanished (Vol. 3)
Trivia
Her name derives from a word meaning "lenient, merciful," the exact opposite of her nature.
