Vol. 8, July–August of Year 1 after the transfer: about five days after Enri became chieftain, trolls and other monsters from the Great Forest of Tob attacked Carne Village (their link to the "Giant of the East" is unverified) and were driven off by the villagers and goblins; Nfirea confessed his love to Enri during the battle.

It began with upheaval in the Great Forest of Tob, which shook the territories of Guu, the "Giant of the East," and Ryraryus, the "Demon Snake of the West"; Enri reported on the forest to E-Rantel's Adventurer's Guild and became chieftain after returning to the village
Ainz scolded Lupusregina for failing to report the threat from the forest promptly, then went with Aura to the Giant of the East's domain and killed everyone except Ryraryus
About five days later (when Enri had begun learning to read and write), trolls and other monsters attacked Carne Village from the forest
During the battle, Nfirea confessed his love to Enri, the two realized they felt the same way, and they married soon after; Carne Village successfully drove off the monsters
After the battle, Nfirea, Enri, and Nemu were invited to dine at Nazarick, and Ainz happily showed Nemu around
The "Giant of the East" that attacked was actually a zombie Ainz made after killing it, and Jugem took its weapon
