Liberation of Loyts

小都市ロイツ奪還

World & HistoryBattles & Events

Vol. 12, winter of Year 2 after the transfer: with Sorcerer King Ainz's help, the Holy Kingdom's liberation army took the prison camp "Small City of Loyts," held by the clan of Grand King Buser; Ainz killed Buser, and Royal Brother Caspond was rescued.

  • Loyts is a small city of under 20,000 that Jaldabaoth's demi-humans converted into a camp for humans and a supply depot; it was held by the Bafolk king, "Grand King" Buser, and his clan
  • The liberation army first stormed another demi-human-held camp, then attacked Loyts the next day
  • Buser refused to surrender and dueled Ainz; Ainz used no magic and switched between weapons to practice his weapon skills, and Buser's specialty of breaking weapons did not work on Ainz's magically created weapons
  • After Ainz removed his power-concealing ring, Buser realized he would die and knelt to beg for his life; refused, he tried to flee and was killed instantly by the 8th-tier [Death] (according to namu.wiki); Ainz collected his magic items
  • In the city they also found the orc Gan Zu tribe, imprisoned for defying Jaldabaoth; the orcs of the hills later became citizens of the Sorcerer Kingdom (Ainz sent them home and asked them to spread the word to the other demi-humans; see Vol. 12)
  • The liberation army found Royal Brother Caspond among the prisoners, and he took command of the liberation army; in fact, he had already been replaced by a doppelgänger (so the liberation army unknowingly fell into the Sorcerer Kingdom's hands; unverified)
  • A week later Jaldabaoth's army began besieging Loyts (the "Siege of Loyts")

Notes

Neia later went into battle wearing Buser's armor "Turtle Shell," leading the demi-humans to believe she had killed Buser.
