Characters
Go Gin
ゴ・ギン
Eighth Martial Lord of the Grand Arena, later a subordinate of the Sorcerer KingdomBaharuth EmpireWar TrollUnknown (Ainz judged his warrior ability to be on par with his own when in warrior form)
Personality
Sees himself as a warrior and respects the strong. He is far smarter and more rational than ordinary trolls; during his training on the frontier, he never killed an opponent who threw down their weapon. He believes his strength comes from racial gifts rather than true skill and longs to meet opponents who can help him grow (unverified). He has no interest whatsoever in taking a human wife, considering it a perverted taste.
Abilities
- Has strength, endurance, and reach far beyond a human's, plus tough skin and a troll's regeneration, which heals his wounds quickly
- Has mastered martial arts such as [Reinforce Hide], [Greater Reinforce Hide], [Strong Strike], [Divine Skill Single Flash], and [Flow Acceleration]
- Equipped with a huge magic-metal club, magic-resistant full plate, and a magic ring and amulet
- His weaknesses are fire and acid, which inhibit regeneration; Baziwood believes even all four knights together would stand no chance against him
History
- About ten years ago, while training on the Empire's frontier, he was discovered by Osk and brought to the arena in the Imperial capital (background)
- Given the chance to challenge the seventh Martial Lord, "Rot Lord" Kullervo Palantynen, he took the throne as the eighth Martial Lord and is regarded as the strongest in history (background)
- Faced Ainz, who entered as a warrior and used no magic; they agreed that if Go Gin lost he would become Ainz's subordinate, and he told Ainz he wanted to eat Ainz's body to become stronger (Vol. 10 p. 403)
- Ainz suppressed his regeneration with stilettos imbued with acid magic, and Go Gin was ultimately defeated and killed (Vol. 10)
- After his death he was immediately resurrected by Ainz, who used the resurrection to show the audience the support the Sorcerer Kingdom can provide adventurers; true to his word, he became Ainz's subordinate (Vol. 10)
