Player Killing
PK/PKK
World & HistoryBasics
YGGDRASIL allowed free PvP in the field and in dungeons. Heteromorphic players were frequent PK targets, so Touch Me formed "Nine's Own Goal," a clan dedicated to PKK, which became the forerunner of Ainz Ooal Gown.
- PvP is not limited to arenas; players can fight in the field and in dungeons; "GM calls do not accept PK complaints" (unverified)
- Early on, Momonga, a Heteromorphic player, had been PK'd again and again and was fed up when Touch Me rescued him
- Nine's Own Goal: a vigilante-style clan that hunted down players who PK'd Heteromorphic players (PKK, "player killer killing"); it began with nine members, the "First Nine," grew to 27, and then disbanded and reorganized as the guild Ainz Ooal Gown
- Ainz Ooal Gown became a powerful guild notorious for PK; its signature work was Punitto Moe's secret manual "Easy PK for Anyone," which only Punitto Moe and Momonga possessed
- Some powerful classes can only be unlocked by PKing a set number of Heteromorphic players; a player who has been PK'd may also find their respawn point camped and be killed over and over (spawn killing)
- Nazarick's PK and PKK angered mid-tier guilds and eventually brought on the 1,500-strong raid
Notes
Members of the same guild or party cannot harm each other (friendly fire disabled); this protection vanished after the transfer.
