Assassination of Rugi

火滅聖典によるルーギ討伐

World & HistoryBattles & Events

During the Theocracy–Elf war in Vol. 15 (Years 3–5 after the transfer), an elf girl single-handedly held back the Slane Theocracy's 40,000-strong invasion force until a team led by Schoen, vice-captain of the Holocaust Scripture, killed her with a volley of magic arrows.

  • Elf King Decem Hougan lent the great bow from his treasury to his daughter Rugi and sent her to the front; Rugi looked about 8 years old, and her mother was Myugi
  • Rugi's quiver never ran out no matter how much she shot, and her arrows wove through the trees and split into many in midair; nearly 1,000 Theocracy soldiers had died at her hands, and the 40,000-strong invasion had stalled
  • The Holocaust Scripture, specialists in assassination and counterterrorism, deployed under vice-captain Schoen; using his own soldiers as bait, Schoen found that Rugi needed two arrows to kill an ordinary soldier and concluded that she was weaker than he was
  • Schoen used a class ability to triple his spells and fired 12 [Magic Arrow] bolts at once; together with his men's, over 100 magic arrows struck at once and killed Rugi
  • The Elf King himself then suddenly appeared; Schoen judged that they could not escape the Behemot (a Lv87 Primal Earth Elemental) the Elf King commanded, so he stayed behind to buy time for his men to flee, and died laughing, "This is only my defeat, not the Theocracy's"
  • The Elf King returned to the castle and put the bow back in the treasury; Myugi, on learning of her daughter's death, threw herself from the royal castle
  • The Theocracy then decided to send out the Extra Seat, and "Infinite Magic," the 11th Seat of the Black Scripture, conveyed the decision to her (whether it stemmed directly from the report of the men who escaped is unverified)

Notes

Schoen was deeply displeased that Rugi looked relieved as she died: he had wanted this girl, who killed nearly a thousand of his compatriots, to die in agony and regret.
