Pulcinella

Personality

Reputed in Nazarick to be gentle and merciful, he aspires to make everyone happy. His method, however, is to make one person unhappy so that those around them feel happy. He says "watashi wa" ("I am") with an odd twist, written in the text as "watashi わ."

• Wears a pure white clown costume and a mask with a long beak-like nose
• The mission he was created for is "to bring happiness to Nazarick"

History

• Serves as Demiurge's assistant at "Demiurge's ranch" (floor unknown, presumably the 7th)
• As Demiurge's messenger he delivered a circular to Mare, endlessly praising how kind Demiurge is to his "livestock," which Mare couldn't have cared less about (Vol. 8)
• Absent from anime season 2, he appeared in season 3, where his echoing way of saying "watashi わ" became a trademark

Trivia

His name comes from Pulcinella, the clown of Italian improvised comedy (commedia dell'arte).

• Demiurge: Owner of the ranch; in his eyes, the kindest person there is
• Mare Bello Fiore: In Vol. 8 he delivered a circular and passionately described Demiurge's kindness to his livestock, which Mare didn't care about at all
