Characters
Kelart Custodio
ケラルト・カストディオ
Head of the Priesthood / highest-ranking priest of the templesRoble Holy KingdomHumanUnknown
Personality
The opposite of her sister Remedios: intelligent, rational, and capable. She wears a merciful smile but is actually scheming and vindictive; she shows no mercy to those who oppose Calca and her family, and her karma is in fact on the low side.
Abilities
- Publicly claims she can use divine magic only up to the 4th tier, but she can actually use the 5th tier and has reached the Realm of Heroes
- As a pure priest she is the highest caliber among the surrounding nations, surpassing even Lakyus
- Uses [Raise Dead], [Holy Ray], [Shock Wave], [Blindness], and more, and knows the metamagic [Penetrate Magic]
History
- Known with Remedios as "the genius Custodio sisters," she supported Holy Queen Calca; after Calca's accession, opposing southern nobles spread the slander that Calca "took the throne through collusion with the temples and Kelart's behind-the-scenes maneuvering" (Vol. 12 p. 139)
- During Jaldabaoth's invasion she provided magical support from the rear with Calca, was easily knocked out by the demon (unverified), and went missing afterward (Vol. 12)
- Killed after the fall of the Holy Kingdom's north; her head was used by the Circlet Demon (サークレット, presumed to be a summoned monster) as a tool for casting spells (Vols. 12–13)
- Neia, Shizu, Beebeezee, and the Zern together defeated the Circlet Demon and recovered her head; on seeing it, Remedios lost hope of resurrecting Calca and broke down (Vol. 13)
- After Kalinsha's liberation her body was cremated and buried together with the Holy Queen (Vol. 13)
Trivia
It has been pointed out that Vol. 13 describes her as "blond"; the author later admitted on Twitter that this was poorly explained and that her hair is meant to be long and brown.
