Characters
Orlando Campano
オルランド・カンパーノ
One of the Holy Kingdom's Nine Colors / fortress squad leaderRoble Holy KingdomHumanUnknown
Personality
Hates taking orders and respects only the strong, always challenging people to "a little bout." He has been demoted as many as ten times for punching superiors and nobles. Yet he sincerely respects anyone who has beaten him, and his rough style has drawn a band of followers who call him "Squad Leader, sir."
Abilities
- Granted a seat among the Nine Colors by the previous Holy King on sheer ability
- Has a skill that delivers a blow of several times normal power at the cost of destroying the weapon, which is why he wears eight identical one-handed swords at his waist
- Once fought Buser the Grand King head-on; all his weapons were destroyed, but he held out until reinforcements arrived and drove Buser back
History
- In his hot-blooded youth he lost a close-combat mock battle to Pabel and has regarded him ever since as the man he respects most in the Holy Kingdom (Vol. 12 p. 17); today he can beat Pabel in pure close combat
- Was on the wall with Pabel when Jaldabaoth attacked (Vol. 12)
- When Pabel was killed by [Meteor Fall], he leapt from the wall in grief and rage and charged the enemy leader
- Jaldabaoth did not see him as a threat at all, and he was killed (that he was "commanded by a dominating voice to kill himself with his own sword" is unverified); Jaldabaoth took his body away
Trivia
Although he is one of the Nine Colors, he is not a career soldier on the Holy Kingdom's regular rolls; when he first appears, his rank is only "squad leader," the fourth-lowest.
Relationships
- Pabel Baraja: The "boss" he respects and the man he rates highest in the Holy Kingdom; he hopes to fight him to the death someday. Pabel has made him listen to countless stories about his daughter and wife
- Buser: An opponent he fought head-on and still cannot beat
