The Empire's highest institution of learning, founded with Fluder's help by the emperor two reigns back; it selects talent regardless of birth, and most of its students actually cannot use magic. The light novels give only its name; most details come from the Web novel.
- Purpose: to keep gifted children from being lost to poverty and to train officials and technicians for the Empire; it is called a "magic" academy because Fluder was deeply involved in its founding and because magic holds an important place in human society (Web novel)
- Top students enroll for free, while paying students take an easier exam; magical knowledge is required in every discipline
- Textbooks are expensive, so the academy lends them by course and opens its library; there is a graduate school and scholarships (scholarship holders must work in the Imperial administration after graduating)
- The student cafeteria's basic lunch is free and is checked for poison by magic; all faculty in the magic department can use 2nd- to 3rd-tier magic
- Arche studied here and gained the "Academy Wizard" class; in the Web novel, Fluder himself even enrolled as a student
