World & HistoryGeography & Nations

A human nation southeast of the Empire and east of the Theocracy, thought to have been founded by the Brightness Dragon Lord, whose royal family carries the Dragon Lord's blood; long invaded by the Beastman nation, it is on the brink of destruction.

  • Capital: not revealed; ruler: Queen Draudillon Oriculus (great-granddaughter of the Brightness Dragon Lord, able to use Wild Magic)
  • Founding: not revealed; said to be over 200 years ago
  • Government: absolute monarchy (unverified), with a prime minister at the queen's side
  • It spends enormous military funds every year resisting the Beastmen and makes donations to the Slane Theocracy in exchange for reinforcements; the Beastmen's recent great offensive took three cities
  • The adamantite-rank adventurers "Crystal Tear" (Cerabrate) are its main force
  • Key events: a diplomatic document bearing the Dragon Kingdom's seal appears in Vol. 14, so it had not yet fallen; in Vol. 15 the Slane Theocracy learned that the Dragon Kingdom had bought very powerful undead from the Sorcerer Kingdom, and the Theocracy also considered sending adventurers recovered from the Kingdom to aid it
  • The Slane Theocracy once supported the Dragon Kingdom with the Sunlight Scripture, and after the Sunlight Scripture was wiped out it turned to the Black Scripture for help
  • Forces within the Dragon Kingdom: Cerabrate of the adamantite-rank "Crystal Tear," and the Worker team "Blazing Crimson" (豪炎紅蓮; members include "Crimson" Optics)
  • The Beastman nation sees the Dragon Kingdom as "a place where food gathers"; as of Vol. 9 the Dragon Kingdom was even considering asking the Empire for help if abandoned by the Theocracy

Notes

In anime season 4 the Dragon Kingdom's seal closely resembles the emblem on the chest of the Platinum Dragon Lord's armor.
