Grand Catastrophe
大災厄（グランドカタストロフ）
Magic & Power SystemsKey Spells & Skills
An ultimate attack gained at the World Disaster class's maximum level; it consumes 60% of maximum MP and is more powerful than super-tier magic.
- A vortex of pure destructive energy—a curse compressed until it becomes a physical phenomenon—covers the entire field
- In the raid on Nazarick, Ulbert used it to instantly wipe out four Lv87 Primal Elementals and one Lv90 elemental summoned by the boss (BD bonus novel)
- Momonga believed the raiding party would have been wiped out without it
- The weaker version [Petit-Catastrophe] is gained through the "Disciple of Disaster" class; Mare can use it, and it too outclasses Ainz's super-tier magic
- Only a fixed number of players can hold the World Disaster class, and the only way to qualify is to PK a current holder. The class has the strongest raw firepower but burns through mana, so most users rely on wands, staves, and scrolls to save MP (BD bonus Prologue (Part 1)-032)
- Skill description: "a curse born of the hatred of leaves fallen from the world, compressed until it becomes a physical phenomenon" (BD bonus Prologue (Part 2)-093)
