Horn of the Goblin General
小鬼（ゴブリン）将軍の角笛
Magic ItemsNew World Items
A lowest-rank artifact that Ainz gave Enri; normally it summons only 19 goblins, but once three conditions are met, it summons a goblin army of over 5,000.
- Normal effect: summons 19 goblins (a leader, a mage, a cleric, 2 archers, 2 riders, and 12 soldiers); they are permanent and do not vanish until killed (Vol. 1)
- Treated as junk in YGGDRASIL, where no player knew its true effect; in the New World it is worth thousands of gold coins
- When Enri blew it a second time in Vol. 9, it summoned an army of over 5,000, including a heavy infantry corps, a paladin squad, a magic artillery unit, and 13 Redcap royal guards
- Presumed conditions: about half a year has passed since the first use, Enri has become village chief, she has subordinates other than summons, and she has gained the "General" class
- In sheer numbers neither the Kingdom nor the Empire can match it; the 13 Lv43 Redcaps are especially strong
- Composition and levels of the 19: goblin leader (level 12) ×1, mage (level 10) ×1, cleric (level 10) ×1, archers (level 10) ×2, wolf riders (level 10) ×2, and soldiers (level 8) ×12 (Vol. 1 p. 231)
- True-effect army (Vol. 9): a heavy infantry corps, 17 paladins, beast cavalry, a longbow corps, a magic support corps, a 5-member magic artillery unit, an assassination squad, 13 Redcap royal guards, a military band, a medical corps, and 12 kinds of rear-support units, including strategists, weather forecasters, and blacksmiths; over 5,000 in total
- At the inspection on entering E-Rantel, it was appraised at "thousands of gold coins"; in the light novel the appraiser exclaimed, "What is this! Who are you?!" while in the Web novel it was merely called "quite magical" (comparison)
- When she blew it the second time, Enri was in the middle of a battle against about 5,000 enemies
Notes
Blown normally, it makes a toy-like "pooo" sound, but when the true effect triggers, it booms with an earth-shaking bass. In the Web novel, it is just a store-bought horn with [Summon Goblin Troop] sealed in it.
