One of the Four Swords of Darkness once held by the "Black Knight" of the Thirteen Heroes; it is now wielded by Lakyus, leader of the Blue Roses.
- Its jet-black blade glitters like the stars of the night sky; when mana is poured in, the blade swells and unleashes a huge explosion of non-elemental energy (Vol. 2)
- From this, Lakyus devised her own finishing move, "Dark Blade Mega Impact"
- The other three Swords of Darkness: Death Sword Sfeiz, Evil Sword Hyumilis, and Corrupted Sword Crocdabal (the original gives only their names; their abilities are undisclosed)
- It is said to have the power to destroy a nation, which Ainz considers an exaggeration (Vol. 6)
- The books refer to the sword's owner in two ways: "Black Knight" (the overview of the Four Swords of Darkness at Vol. 2 p. 139) and "Dark Knight" (the demon sword entry)
- Lakyus's other gear: the silver-and-gold full plate "Virgin Snow" adorned with a unicorn, wearable only by a virgin (Vol. 6 p. 101); the "Cloak of Rat Speed" that raises movement speed, agility, and evasion (Vol. 6 p. 102); and the "Floating Swords" that can orbit her and be fired (Vol. 6 p. 102)
Notes
Lakyus claims that a mind-eroding dark personality is sealed in the sword, but this is actually her chuunibyou delusion (unverified). Japanese sources also give the owner as either "Black Knight" or "Dark Knight"; in the Web novel, the Death Sword's place is taken by the "Dark Sword Moonlight Eater."
