Surshana
スルシャーナ
One of the Six Great Gods; God of DeathSlane TheocracyHeteromorphic (undead?)Unknown
Personality
The god who grants the living eternal rest and everlasting despair. The books give him almost no characterization.
Abilities
- Can activate [The Goal of All Life is Death] (the Extra Seat activated it from his war scythe via her talent)
- The Web novel's scriptures say he is mightier than the Four Great Gods and equal in rank to the God of Life, Alah Alaf
History
- In truth a transported player; 600 years ago he descended with five others, saved humanity from the brink of extinction, and laid the foundations of the Slane Theocracy
- After the other five gods died one after another, he remained as the last of them; according to oral tradition he was killed by the Eight Greed Kings, who were transported 500 years ago (Vol. 10 p. 239; in the Web novel's folklore he was "banished by those who committed a great sin")
- In the books he also seems to resemble Ainz in appearance
Trivia
In Vol. 14 Azuth enraged the Black Scripture by asking, "How is Rufus—or was it Mr. Rufas—doing?" The name of Surshana's "first attendant" is unknown, and sources suggest it may be Rufus.
Relationships
- Ainz Ooal Gown: Closely resembles him in appearance

- Pontifex Maximus: Supreme leader of the Slane Theocracy, who reveres him as a god
- Alah Alaf: Another of the Six Great Gods, the God of Light (Life); in the Web novel ranked alongside him above the Four Great Gods
