Leader of the Thirteen Heroes
リーダー(十三英雄のリーダー)
Leader of the Thirteen HeroesThirteen HeroesHuman (unverified)Unknown
Personality
At first just a weak, ordinary man, he kept swinging his sword however badly he was hurt and ultimately became the strongest. He was a good person, willing to help others (unverified). After killing his fellow player companion with his own hands, he was deeply shaken and carried a heavy burden of guilt.
Abilities
- "Infinite growth": leveled up all the way from a low level to become the strongest of the Thirteen Heroes
- Had knowledge of YGGDRASIL; according to Japanese sources, the Platinum Dragon Lord mentioned that "they" (generally taken by readers to mean the Leader's group) once held two World Items
- His main weapon was an unnamed sword
- Web novel: the Platinum Dragon Lord once lent him the Eight Greed Kings' guild weapon as a sign of trust (unverified)
History
- About 200 years ago, he led the band of heroes that fought the Evil Deities. He traveled with a companion who was also a "player" (the original does not say whether they were transferred together)
- Presumably, his seven-member party defeated an offshoot of the evil tree in the Great Forest of Tob after a hard fight and named it "Zy'tl Q'ae" (from a drama CD)
- Told his companions that "she" slumbers at the lowest level of the Sea City
- Partway through the journey, he killed his fellow player companion, then died himself (presumably by suicide) and refused to be resurrected (Vol. 7 p. 280)
- Rigrit and the Platinum Dragon Lord lamented that his early death kept him from passing on all his knowledge of YGGDRASIL (Vol. 7)
- The Platinum Dragon Lord's armor went by the name "Riku Aganeia," and the Dragon Lord's inner monologue ("(Riku...) I have already dirtied my own hands," "am I to repeat the same mistake?") implies that he once personally sacrificed someone named "Riku." Many readers believe that was the Leader's name (Vol. 14)
Trivia
The names he gave and the things he mentioned (Zy'tl Q'ae, "she" sleeping at the lowest level of the Sea City) are full of Cthulhu Mythos references, important circumstantial evidence that he was a player.
